A Committee called Metropolitan and Inner Suburban Congregations was formed in 1929 with Rev J Barnaby as the initial convenor before convenors 1930 Rev C Neville; 1940 Rev T Jones and 1946 Rev WE Watkins with the committee ending in the 1940s.
In 2008 a new standing committee, METRO (Ministry Equipping, Training and Recruiting Organisation) Committee was formed.The METRO Committee, on behalf of the Presbyterian Church of Victoria, facilitates one-to-one traineeships in partnership with the local church. The aim is to assist churches as they invest in training young people for gospel ministry. Initially the convenor was the PCV training officer.
