Biography

Robert Swanton was born at Tallangatta and baptised by Rev H. Carey (1881–1955). Educated at teh University of Melbourne BA (Hons), MA, and Ormond BD (MCD) and won the Stewart Travelling Scholarship to study in Edinburgh and Basel 1937–39.

He served Hart-Koolungah, SA 1935–37 and then Hawthorn, VIC from 1940 unti lhis retirement in 1968. He was associated with the founding of the Reformed Theological Review in 1942 and for most of the years 1944–48 was Editor or Co-editor. His Session Clerak at Hawthorn from 1944 was F.
