Mr. Abbott's long ministry was marked by his faithfulness and his concern for people. He earned the esteem of his people and the affection of the fathers and brethren. Always interested in young people, the youth work in his parishes was always a feature of his ministry. Long after many would have sought respite from responsibility, he continued to work for the Home Mission Committee in the newly developing area of Moorabbin. His long, quiet and effective ministry came to a close on February 3rd, 1965.
