HARRISON, Colin Arthur, Rev (2007)

 Person

Assembly memorial minute, 2007

Colin was a minister’s son, the son of Rev W Harrison, and served several parishes including Wodonga, St John’s/Ebenezer in Ballarat, Eaglehawk and Williamstown. He was a quiet and gentle pastor and one whose musical gifts were frequently put to good use in the parishes he served. His ability for administration and church order were often recognized, especially by his appointment as Deputy Clerk of the General Assembly. He was elected Moderator of this General Assembly in 1981.

In retirement he and his wife Shirley came to live in Tannoch Brae and they attached themselves to the Batesford congregation. Though not preaching regularly, he did assist from time to time, and always showed a deep interest in the Presbyterian congregations in his area.
