Mr. Lawson was a servant of God, ever devoted to the life and work of the Church, in which he served as an ordained minister for forty-three years. At the age of 70 he responded to the call of new charges and for four years graciously guided the infant cause at Wattle Park.
He was of sterling character, modest and retiring, contented to labour in the presence of his Lord, not seeking public notice within the courts of the church. He was a faithful pastor, more than a member of committees. Being a diligent scholar, he gave much thought to preparation and served ably and faithfully in the pulpit.
To Mrs. Lawson and her family the Assembly tender sincere sympathy.
