Mr. Collins, who was in his late forties when ordained, fulfilled 20 years of ministry. His gracious and kindly manner endeared him to the parishioners of his four pastorates. His message was the evangel of his Lord. He gave special attention to the young whom he ever strove to influence for Christ and for active work in the Church.
He was a faithful presbyter, working on committees of the Presbytery and Assembly, His ability for leadership was evident as a member of the Sustentation Fund Committee and he was one time convener. He also served for many years as a member of the Home Mission Committee.
To Mrs. Collins the Assembly tender sincere sympathy.
