In a quiet, self-effacing witness, the Rev. J.C. Gibson was devoted to his Lord and Church. He travelled long distances to see his people, and this was particularly evident in his A.I.M. patrol for which the late John Flynn specially selected him.
He had lived in retirement for four years, a minister emeritus within the Presbytery of Adelaide, at the home of his youngest son in Manningham, Adelaide.
To his son Ronald - in Anglican Orders - his son, John, and daughter, Marie, the Assembly tender sincere sympathy.
