MENZIES-MILLER, Thomas, Rev (1882-1963)
Assembly memorial minute 1963
Born in Tasmania in 1882 at Kellevie, the Rev. Thomas Menzies- Miller exercised his ministry in Victoria, where he served as a Home Missionary before entering the Ormond College Theological Hall in 1920. On the completion of his course of training, he was appointed to Inglewood as an exit student, where the congregation extended a call to him. His ordination and induction took place in October, 1923.
After a pastorate of five years, he received and accepted a call to Echuca, where he was inducted in September, 1928. He served in this parish until 1945 when he received a call to Daylesford. His ministry there continued until the end of March, 1952, when he retired from active pastorate. His ministry was marked by friendliness; a concern for people - their wellbeing and their comfort in Christ.
He is survived by Mrs. Menzies-Miller - the 33rd anniversary of their wedding had been celebrated only a few days before his death. The Assembly convey to her their deep sympathy in her loss.
