Neil Scott was a devout and faithful minister of the Word and Sacraments. He was painstaking in all that he did and his ministry was marked by thoroughness in every detail. He was a quiet thoughtful preacher, given rather to exposition of the Word, and a pastor truly concerned for his people. Under all was a quiet confidence and a cheerfulness of spirit that were grounded in the realities of his faith. It was with keen anticipation that he undertook his dual responsibilities as minister to Chilwell and Chaplain to Geelong Hospital. His sudden death only two months after commencing this ministry brought to a close a long and faithful ministry.

The Assembly give thanks to God for his life and service, and convey to Mrs. Scott and the family their sympathy.
