David Wilson Smith was a minister with a great concern for men, a rare capacity for friendship, and one dedicated to the proclamation of the Gospel with warm evangelical appeal. On many occasions his services were sought and used at Youth Conferences with great acceptance. He will be remembered as one of those gracious spirits that are themselves a product of the Gospel.

The Assembly record their thanksgiving to God for his life and ministry, and express their sympathy to his brother, the Rev. W. Wilson Smith, who alone survives him.
