KLEIN, James, Rev (1911-1968)

 Person

Assembly memorial minute 1968

Born 12th March, 1911 at Apeldoorn (Holland). Died 17th July 1968. Ordained in College Church, Parkville 18th Dec. 1962.

Appointed to Cockatoo United Methodist/Presbyterian Parish 7th Feb. 1963. Appointment terminated 10th Feb. 1966. Inducted Whittlesea 10th February 1966.

James Klein was permitted to serve the Church in Australia for only six years but during that time he showed a fine spirit of understanding and concern for his people. His courage and faith at times when his health was affected and his will to persevere in his ministry, earned him a firm place in the affection of his brethren. His own fight to overcome equipped him with that understnading so essential for a ministry as Chaplain to the needy, and such a ministry he exercised over and beyond his normal parish commitments.

The General Assembly gives thanks for his life and ministry and commends his wife and family to the compassion of the church and to the Grace of our Lord Jesus Christ.
