Biographical / Historical
Discussion on the formation of a Home Mission Auxiliaries took place on 11 October 1934 at a meeting of representatives of various Dorcas Societies, Ladies' Guilds, and PWMU branches. The Rev K. Forster, Convenor of the Home Mission Committee presided. "That steps be taken to link up Guilds and Dorcas Societies into a corporate body …" The committee was officially named 'Home Mission Workers Association' at a meeting on 5 June 1935.
